HISTORY

When Edmund Wimperis was appointed Grosvenor Estate Surveyor in 1910 he drew up a 10 year building programme which was to include the making of three new communal gardens on sites previously occupied by stables and other ancillary buildings.

The garden at Green Street was the first of the gardens to be completed and was in the final planning stages at the outbreak of the First World War.
